Halloween is, in my hometown, a major event for the teenagers. My friends and I used to get dressed up and take little kids in our families around trick-or-treating and collect what we referred to as "Pity Candy" from the locals. It was a time-honored tradition to go to more than one neighborhood, and we milked it for all it was worth until we got "too old" to do it.
